Description
Originally from China, Euonymus fortunei Silver Queen or Wintercreeper Silver Queen is a climbing spindle with a compact habit which, trained against a wall or a tree, can reach a height ranging from 2.5 m to 3 m for a spread of 1 , 50 m. It is also an excellent ground cover.
The Wintercreeper Silver Queen is distinguished by an evergreen foliage, dark green edged with silvery white washed with pink in the summer sun, very elegant which will bring light to your garden in any season. From May to June, discreet small greenish flowers appear which give way to decorative pink berries.
Very hardy (it withstands cold down to - 20 ° C), not very susceptible to diseases and resistant to drought, Euonymus fortunei Silver Queen needs sun to flourish. Undemanding, it grows in any type of well-drained and cool soil. It does not require pruning, a simple training cut with the spring shears will suffice.
The Wintercreeper Silver Queen will seduce you with its very decorative variegated foliage, its versatility, it can serve as a privacy hedge, plant fence or ground cover, and its ease of cultivation.
