Angel's trumpet yellow
Brugmansia cordata yellow
Description
The Brugmansia cordata yellow or Angel's trumpet yellow, very often wrongly called Datura, is a decorative shrub with an exotic silhouette, native to South America. -
Planted in isolation on your lawn or in a pot on your balcony, it will offer you, from June to October, a profusion of drooping flowers, trumpet-shaped, 30 cm long, bright yellow, exhaling, at the end of the day , an intense fragrance appreciated by foraging insects.
Not very resistant to cold (it resists down to -5 ° C), the Angel's trumpet yellow is grown in the ground in regions with a mild climate. Otherwise, it is best to plant it in a pot so that it can be wintered indoors. This shrub which can reach 2 m to 2.5 m in height for a spread of 1 m, appreciates the rich and fresh grounds, sheltered from the wind and exposed to the sun or in partial shade. It requires a fertilizer supply and regular watering in summer.
Whether it is to light up your garden or your terrace, install a Brugmansia cordata yellow, it will surprise you with its rapid growth and the beauty of its many hanging inflorescences which last throughout the summer and part of the fall.
