Description
The Manchurian Cherry or Prunus Maackii is a small ornamental tree with decorative bark found in the wild in northeastern Asia, very hardy, it can withstand negative temperatures up to -34C °.
Its growth is fast making it an excellent alignment tree, in our gardens it is often used as an isolated tree for its decorative attractions, because the most striking thing about Prunus Maackii is the beauty of its smooth warm-tinted trunk, it is a golden brown exfoliating with time like a birch papyrifera.
The flowering of the Manchurian cherry intervenes in April / May, its small fragrant white flowers are arranged in clusters attracting browsers in our gardens, because they are melliferous, followed by the appearance of small black fruits very appreciated by the birds.
The Manchurian cherry tree does not need maintenance, to plant in sunny or semi-shade, resistant to diseases.
