Description
The Black Alder is particularly fond of wetlands, it is often used to consolidate the banks along the rivers, because it loves to have its roots in sodden soil, its growth is fast enough and maintains it relatively simple, just let it grow the tree as it sees fit without any intervention.
The fruiting of the alder results in small cones that appear from September to remain on the tree almost all winter, they are filled with small seeds appreciated by the birds which favor the observation of small passerines specific to this tree, such as the Alder Siskin and the Red Sizerin, a real treat for the eyes.
