Père David's maple
Acer davidii
Description
The color changing with the season, turning from brilliant green to bright orange, and its green and white striped bark that reminds snake skin, make this variety of Maple an interesting tree throughout the year.
Rather vigorous, but of reasonable size, the Père David’s Maple will find its place in a small garden or in a quickset hedge.
The Acer Davidii was found and imported from the centre of China by the father Armand David in 1879.
