Description
This tree native to Japan and the Kuril islands has large leaves 10 to 15 cm long that turn creamy yellow in the fall. When flowering it grows very long kittens 7 -12 cm. Its white bark peels off in thin strips such as paper and its young branches are reddish brown. It has a very high resistance to winds.
