Philadelphus Lemoinei, also known as Lemoinei Mock Orange, is a bushy shrub with an erect habit, very floriferous and melliferous. As a bonus, it turns out to be one of the most fragrant of its species, of which it was the first specimen and recognized as the ancestor of many varieties of the genus. In June and July, its long stems are adorned with a multitude of single flowers assembled in clusters, deliciously scented. Their corollas formed from 4 to 5 white petals unite around a heart of long yellow stamens.

The Lemoinei Mock Orange is very resistant to diseases and is very easy to grow in ordinary soil. It tolerates negative temperatures down to -20 ° C and appreciates a sunny or partial shade situation. Arranged in a free hedge or in a large container on a terrace, the Philadelphus Lemoinei knows how to impose itself to reach an adult height of 1.5 m with a similar spread. Pruning the oldest stems maintains this majestic habit and abundant flowering.

The Lemoinei Mock Orange naturally finds its place in a cluster of shrubs in association with the Buddleia Pink Delight to prolong the fragrant and enchanting charm of the gardens of yesteryear throughout the summer.
