Description
The Philidelphus virginalis Snowbelle, native to Europe, is adorned, in summer, with a large quantity of bright white double flowers. Positioned in clusters, the flowers cover the Snowbelle Mock orange. Foraging insects will appreciate this generous flowering and will make your garden a little more alive every day. The fragrant flowering will take place in late spring and early summer, during the months of May and June.
The Snowbelle Mock orange is distinguished by its shiny green foliage and bushy habit. This shrub will reach a height of 2 m, in adulthood, for a spread of about 1.50 m.
Resistant to extreme cold, up to -25 ° C, the Snowbelle Mock orange will adapt to all gardens.
As you will have understood, the Philadelphus virginalis Snowbelle particularly appreciates sunny or semi-shaded grounds. The cultivation in pots of this shrub is possible, especially to flower a balcony or a terrace. The Snowbelle Mock orange will particularly appreciate fertile soils or calcareous soils. A light pruning of the shrub, after flowering, will maintain the wearing of the Snowbelle Mock Orange, from year to year.
Surrounded by other varieties of flowering shrubs, the Philadelphus virginalis Snowbelle will have a special place in your garden to form pretty hedges or flower beds
