Semi-evergreen shrub native to China, the Abelia Chinensis variegata also called Variegated Abélia seduces with its bright decorative foliage, green variegated with white and with its generous summer flowers with an exhilarating scent. Its dense and compact habit as well as its small size (1 m to 1.50 m in height for a spread of 0.50 m to 0.70 m) give it a place of choice in small gardens, rock gardens and massifs .
The leaves of the Variegated Abélia of a beautiful lustrous green bordered with white turn bronze in the fall. The young shoots are pink. All summer and until October, it is covered with a profusion of white flowers in the form of funnels.
For optimal flowering, choose preferably for the planting of Abelia Chinensis variegata a place sheltered from the wind and sunny. Install it in a light, well-drained soil, not too wet. Carry out a maintenance pruning from February-March in order to keep only the most vigorous branches.
