Deutzia scabra Plena, a superb pink flowering.
The Deutzia scabra Plena or Rosea Plena is a shrub native to China and Japan. This variety of Deutzia offers, from June to July, magnificent double flowers, gathered in large drooping panicles, pale pink in bud, becoming white on the inside and barely pink on the outside, they are slightly perfumed.
A hardy plant (it can withstand temperatures of -20°C), Fuzzy deutzia Plena has a bushy habit and drooping branches. With a maximum height of 2.50 m and a spread of 2 m, it is the ideal shrub for creating pretty flowering hedges or as a background for brightly coloured perennials in your beds. You can also take advantage of its superb flowering by planting it in a container or in isolation on your lawn.
Deutzia scabra rosea Plena can be planted in any type of soil, but it is best to plant it in deep, well-drained, rich soil in partial shade or sun. After flowering, cut back the flowering branches by half.
From June onwards, the pink and white tones of the Fuzzy deutzia Plena flowers are sure to bring a touch of romance to your garden.
