Berberis Thunbergii Atropurpurea
Description
Originally from Japan, this variety of Barberry has a purple foliage throughout the year, turning bright red in autumn.
It is deciduous or semi-evergreen.
Its flowering is of yellow handbells and appears in May, it make a very nice contrasting effect with the color of its foliage and is followed by red ovoid fruits from 5 to 8mm appreciated by birds.
Ideal to create a low hedge or defensive hedge, it is recommended to plant all 60 cm.
Easy to cultivate.
