Description
Sorbaria sorbifolia or False spirea is a small, fast growing, decorative shrub. It is interesting by the spectacle that it offers throughout the seasons, in spring its pretty foliage appears pink shrimp to clear up and turn yellow just before establishing its tender green that it will keep until the end of the Season, in summer, it is its flowers that differentiate it from the mountain ash, it blooms in a multitude of white conical panicles which resemble to be mistaken at the flowering of a spire. The Sorbaria appreciates both the sunny and the half-shaded places, to place in isolation or in the company of purple berberis which brings a harmony of color in the massifs. He accepts the cut very well.
