Yellow camellia
Camellia williamsii Jury's yellow
Description
The Camellia Williamsii Jury's yellow is an evergreen shrub that has the originality of producing creamy yellow flowers. Plant of heather earth with upright and compact habit, it reaches, at adulthood, a height of 1.30 m for a spread of 0.70 m. From February to April, appear numerous flowers in the shape of anemone, semi-double, featuring a yellow heart surrounded by crumpled white cream petals. Its dark green and leathery leaves bring out the clear hue of its flowers.
The Camellia Williamsii Jury's yellow grows in soil rich in humus, fresh and wet, with acidic PH. It is best to install it in the shade or in the shade, avoid exposing it to the sun during the hottest hours of the day. In winter, it will withstand negative temperatures down to -15 ° C.
Prune the Yellow camellia just after flowering, in transparency, to get more light in and magnify your figure. The next flowering will be all the more beautiful.
Do not hesitate to combine it with other heather plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas or pieris. Planted in isolation, it will brighten up, as of February, your garden so morose at this time of the year.
