Description
Spectacular variety of Hydrangea with very flexible twigs, native to North America, Hydrangea arborescens Annabelle or Annabelle Smooth Hydrangea is a shrub with deciduous foliage very widespread which has everything to seduce you: magnificent flowers of more than 20 cm in diameter, first greenish white then turning to pure white when ripe, a beautiful bright green foliage, ease of cultivation and great hardiness (up to - 29 ° C).
From mid-June to September, on the wood of the year, develop superb white-cream inflorescences mixed with green in the form of large balls then evolving towards an immaculate white which stands out beautifully from the light green foliage. In autumn, the flowers dry in a light brown tone, they remain decorative throughout the winter.
The Annabelle Smooth Hydrangea adapts to any type of soil with an acid tendency, and supports the sun but you will have to take care to keep the ground fresh and humid during the flowering period. At the end of winter, you will remove the branches that have bloomed.
