The Ficus carica Longue d'août or Fig tree Longue d'août is a very productive variety of fig tree, resistant to severe frosts (down to -15 ° C) which will acclimatize perfectly to your region if you install it in the sun and sheltered from cold winds.
Self-fertile, the Ficus carica Longue d'août is biferous, so it fruits twice a year, a first time in July and a second time from the end of August to October. It produces abundant production of very elongated pear-shaped fruits (about 10 to 12 cm), with reddish-brown skin when ripe and red flesh. Very juicy and sweet figs taste like honey.
