Native to France, Ribes rubrum versaillaise blanche or White currant is a self-fertile variety resistant to - 18 ° C, vigorous and very productive, which offers delicious, flavorful white fruits in mid-season soft and very sweet.

The Ribes rubrum versaillaise blanche blooms in April, then begins to produce fruit in early July on twigs from 1 to 2 years old. Harvesting continues until August. These appear in the form of clusters bearing large white, translucent berries which become amber when ripe. Their sweet, juicy and slightly acidic flesh can be enjoyed fresh or cooked.
