Amélanchier alnifolia Smokey has a decorative flowering, white starry and very melliferous, it appears before the foliage, this one is pink when the buds burst, it turns dark green and becomes yellow, orange then finally flamboyant red in the fall.
Its flowering gives fruit in clusters, large purple to black berries, sweet, reminiscent of blueberries, rich in antioxidants and vitamins. To be used in juices, jellies and jams, or to make delicious pies or cakes. These berries can be frozen without getting denatured.
