Description
Trachelospermum jasminoides Rosea or Pink Star Jasmine is a climbing shrub, native to China, exceptional for its fragrant summer flowering. Vigorous, it adapts to all types of terrain and can reach six meters in height and three meters in span. Rustic, it tolerates down to -15 ° C.
Pink star jasmine has evergreen foliage that turns very dark purple in winter. Its brilliant green leaves contrast beautifully with the pearly and subtle pink of its abundant helix-shaped flowers. Its deliciously scented flowering lasts from May to August.
The Trachelospermum jasminoides Rosea enjoys a sunny location in partial shade. A slight pruning after flowering allows to equalize its forms and to control its growth. Cultivation of Pink Star Jasmine is possible in pots, provided that it is provided with a support to which it must be attached and well-drained soil.
Its stems weave with agility along a wooden arbor to shade a terrace or, against a trellis, to create a magnificent screening effect. Used as a ground cover, it delimits an aisle with elegance.
In a massif, combine your Trachelospermum Jasminoide Rosea with an Mexican orange blossom for a delicate visual and olfactory marriage.
