It is well known because its conical flowers are used as a basic ingredient in the production of beer.
In the garden, this voluble plant can be not only decorative when one wants to cover a fence or let it climbed on a column, but can also be used as a medicinal plant for its many therapeutic virtues, among others taken in infusion to fight against insomnia and constipation.
