Rosa Rote The Fairy is a ground cover rose. This pretty variety has glossy green semi-evergreen foliage and a multitude of small red flowers in a double rosette. Very easy to grow and resistant to rose diseases, The Fairy Rose red is ideal for decorating a bed, a rockery, an embankment or a border, with its low bushy habit and its generous flowers.
At maturity, The Fairy Rose red, ground cover rose measures 75 to 90 cm in height with an average circumference of 90 cm. It is best planted in spring or autumn, in rich, moist, well-drained soil with sunny exposure. Undemanding and hardy, Rosa Rote The Fairy adapts easily to any environment and can be grown in pots: it is a very decorative species with its glossy leaves and red flowers gathered in bunches.
Rosa Rote The Fairy requires annual pruning, as do most roses: in early spring or autumn, taking care to retain two or three eyes. It is advisable to regularly cut back the leaves and spent flowers, to increase the density of the plant and encourage flowering. The Fairy Rose red appreciates mulching at the base of the plant to keep the soil cool, with abundant watering at the time of planting, then moderate watering once it is well established.
