Rhododendron Felicitas
Rhododendron Felicitas
Description
The Rhododendron Felicitas is a sumptuous collector's plant. Its imposing flowers, grouped in terminal corymbs, are white bordered with pink and spotted with garnet, their colour is spectacular and they flower abundantly.
The flowering period of Rhododendron Felicitas is early May. Nevertheless, this robust plant is very resistant to cold, and can withstand temperatures down to -21 ° C. For that, it must benefit from the adapted conditions. The choice of location is strategic : it is particularly fond of semi-shaded areas. Too much sunlight would brown the leaves. Rhododendron Felicitas will flourish if it is planted on acid soils: soil pH should be between 5 and 6.5. Soil drained with constant humidity, but without excess is also necessary.
The Rhododendron Felicitas reaches 1.30 m high as an adult. It is therefore a shrub bushy, dense and harmonious which is quite suitable for small gardens. It will perfectly find its place on the edge of the heather land shrubbery or even in a pot, on a balcony or terrace.
