Chinese Azalea Nabucco
Azalea Knap-Hill Nabucco
Description
The Chinese Azalea Nabucco is a magnificent deciduous shrub with large dark red flowers. It is distinguished by its abundant and dazzling flowering, which occurs at the end of spring, from mid-May to June. Its flowers are lightly scented and attract pollinating insects. They contrast with the dark green foliage, which turns bronze in spring and copper-red in fall.
Azalea Knap Hill Nabucco has a bushy, flared habit, which gives it an elegant look. It reaches about 1.80 m in height and 1.20 m in width in adulthood. It is a hardy plant that resists cold (-26° C) and diseases well. It thrives in cool, humus-rich, acidic soil, sheltered from the scorching sun. It can be planted in beds, on the border or in pots, to decorate the garden or the terrace.
The Chinese Azalea Nabucco does not require much maintenance: all you have to do is remove the faded flowers, water regularly in dry weather and add a special fertilizer for heather earth plants in the spring. Azalea Nabucco is an easy-to-grow plant that will give you a colourful and fragrant show for several weeks.
